Q: How is the Temple connected to Cipher Grove?
A: Our Temple founder, Dorian Dremaira, is the host of the YouTube channel, Cipher Grove. The channel is Dorian's job and personal business as an occult content creator, and he sometimes uses it to spread the word about the Temple. Beyond this, there are seldom any other connections and the two are entirely separate entities. The staff of Temple Vesperitas have no part in the production or management of Cipher Grove.
Q: Is Temple Vesperitas a "cult"?
A: We do not agree with the notion that we are a "cult" (aside from the idea that all small groups of spiritual practitioners deviating from mainstream spiritual expression might be considered cults, depending on who you ask). We hold this stance not just for self-absolution, but because we lack many of the harmful characteristics of a cult; and this is by design.

Our members are NOT required to isolate themselves from their families or communities, and in fact are actively encouraged to take part in them when able.

Our leadership is NOT composed of a single person, and consists of a democratic board of clergy members.

Membership to the Temple is free, with donations greatly appreciated.

Members are NOT encouraged to enact harm or violence on themselves or others.

Members are encouraged to use critical thinking and develop their own path according to what they feel is best for them.

Members must adhere to our Temple Values & Ethics during their tenure, or face expulsion and their membership revoked.
Q: Where do Donations go?
A: The Temple is NOT currently considered a nonprofit organization. All money is reinvested back into our platform. This includes covering fees for hosting our website, email server, brochures, and our traveling Temple outreach booth visiting occult events at different points in the year. Almost all Temple content is freely available on the internet and does not require any sort of payment.
Even so, most of these things are paid out-of-pocket by our Temple founder. The Temple receives almost zero profit or surplus money. This is why donations are so very much appreciated! Temple finances are privately handled by senior Clergy members.
Q: Do you have a Physical Space?
A: Temple Vesperitas is in the process of growing and accommodating future physical spaces, however we do not currently occupy a physical Temple space. It is the goal of our Clergy to eventually create physical Vesperian worship sites, however this will require funding and support from members and is still some ways in the future. All donations to the Temple greatly help us move forward in this cause!
Q: Are you secretive?
A: Temple Vesperitas believes in transparency and public trust. We are not an organization that thrives on secrets. The only possible secrets we harbor pertain to small details of rites, rituals, and doctrines for clergy members. This is nothing out of the ordinary in terms of what is commonplace for magickal orders, covens, mystery schools, or other occult groups. We have no reason to remain secretive otherwise.
Q: Are you affiliated with any other groups?
A: Temple Vesperitas is not affiliated with any other occult, spiritual, religious, or academic groups.
Q: Are you an Order of the Nine Angles Nexion?
A: In recent times, a group known as the Order of Nine Angles (ONA) has begun destabilizing and absorbing occult groups across the internet and Discord. We want to make our stance clear: We have no affiliation or support for ONA and actively forbid our members from interacting with it and other groups like it. We do not support groups that uphold or enable fascism, bigotry, grooming (of adults or minors), pedophilia, murder, terrorism, etc.

ONA members have attempted to infiltrate and destabilize the Temple in the past, but have been largely unsuccessful due to the rigorous vetting and ethics systems we have in place.
